Yes, as God makes that a pretty important issue…even for Gentiles. See Isaiah 56:6. If God makes that a standard for a relationship with Him, then it should be heeded by anyone who seeks to relate to the God of Israel, even Gentiles who are attached to Him through by following the teachings of Messiah Yeshua.

Hello, I think it's very important to acknowledge the 7th day as set apart and made holy. The call is to remember and suggests that, "internally every individual who ever lived and will ever live is asked to remember and commemorate the day as a time to draw near to the creator and learning to become more like him." Of course we can't do that if we aren't immersing ourselves in him, the word made flesh. I would also impress on each individual that in the beginning, there was no Hebrew or Israelite or Jewish person when the Sabbath was declared in the beginning, it was only humanity. The distinction being made can be seen in both the House of Judah who were given and kept the oracles and the genealogy from where the Messiah would come from and the promise to Abraham as being the father of a multitude of nations, being fulfilled through Joseph and his son Ephraim. If the Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath, we ought to walk as he walked and as his customs were. Leave a Reply. |
